Day 1 - Journey to France & Amiens Arrival

Our adventure begins with a drive from Barwell to Dover, a ferry crossing to Calais, and a final scenic drive to the charming city of Amiens.

Arrival & Relaxation
We check into the Moxy Amiens hotel, settling in for a relaxing first night in France.
Day 2 - Amiens' Charm & Arrival in Paris
Morning
Cathedral Visit
We start the day exploring the magnificent Gothic architecture of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame d'Amiens.
Mid-morning
Garden Tour
We take a unique and tranquil boat tour through Les Hortillonnages, the famous "floating gardens" of Amiens.
Lunch
Saint-Leu District
We enjoy a final meal in Amiens in the picturesque and historic canalside district.
Afternoon
Drive to Paris
The main event begins as we embark on the two-hour drive to the heart of the capital city.

Check-in
We arrive at the Pullman Paris Eiffel Tower hotel, our base for the special anniversary celebration.
Day 3 - A Parisian Anniversary
Anniversary Morning
Romantic Start
A slow and romantic start to the day with breakfast in bed and a late 12:00 PM checkout from the Pullman hotel.
Afternoon
At the Opera
After checking out, we'll drive to the elegant 9th arrondissement to immerse ourselves in the opulence of the breathtaking Palais Garnier.
Late Afternoon
Rooftop Views
We'll head to the nearby Galeries Lafayette department store to take in stunning panoramic city views from its free rooftop terrace.
Evening
Anniversary Dinner
The highlight of our day: a romantic, pre-booked dinner at a restaurant with spectacular views of the sparkling Eiffel Tower.
Late Evening
Check-in
Following our celebratory dinner, we will drive to our main Paris hotel, the ibis budget Paris Porte d'Aubervilliers, to check in for the night.
Day 4 - Masterpieces, Gardens & a Sunset Cruise

At the Louvre
A culturally rich morning spent wandering the iconic galleries of the Musée du Louvre, home to countless masterpieces.
Afternoon
Lunch & Stroll
We enjoy lunch followed by a leisurely walk through the beautiful Jardin des Tuileries.

Sightseeing
Our walk takes us to the historic and grand Place de la Concorde.
Evening
River Cruise
As the sun begins to set, we board a boat for a magical one-hour cruise along the River Seine.
Dinner
On the Left Bank
We conclude our day with a delightful dinner in the chic and artistic neighborhood of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
Day 5 - The Artistic Soul of Montmartre
Morning
Exploration
We travel to the charming hilltop village of Montmartre to explore the stunning white-domed Sacré-Cœur Basilica.

Artists' Square
We'll soak up the bohemian atmosphere and watch local artists at work in the lively Place du Tertre.

On the Hilltop
A classic Parisian lunch in a traditional bistro in the heart of Montmartre.

Photo Stop
We wander down the hill for a memorable photo opportunity in front of the world-famous facade of the Moulin Rouge.
Day 6 - A Day of Royal Grandeur at Versailles

A day trip to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, where we'll tour the dazzling Hall of Mirrors and the opulent royal apartments.

In the Gardens
We'll have lunch and spend hours wandering through the vast, immaculate gardens designed by Le Nôtre.

Romantic Boat Ride
We'll enjoy a peaceful and romantic boat ride for two on the beautiful Grand Canal.
Day 7 - Iconic Views & a Parisian Farewell

In Le Marais
Exploring the trendy and historic Le Marais district and the beautiful architecture of the Place des Vosges.
Afternoon
Photo Tour
A self-guided tour to capture the Eiffel Tower from all the best spots: Trocadéro, Avenue de Camoens, Rue de l'Université, and more.

Gourmet Break
A well-deserved break for luxurious hot chocolate and pastries at the famous Carette café at Place du Trocadéro.

A stop at the beautiful flower shop, L'Howea, for another classic Parisian photo.

We climb the Arc de Triomphe just in time for a breathtaking sunset view over the city.

Day 8 - Lille & The Journey Home

Departure
After a final Parisian breakfast, we check out and begin our drive north towards Lille.

Stop in Lille
We take a break to explore the charming old town (Vieux Lille) and enjoy one last French meal.
Afternoon
Drive to the Port
We complete the final leg of our drive to Calais to check in for our ferry.

Crossing
We board the ferry for our 90-minute crossing back to Dover.
Evening
Homeward Bound
Upon arriving in the UK, we'll make the final drive home to Barwell, filled with wonderful memories.
